manual radiator fan control question NEED HELP FROM ALL WHO HAS DONE THIS

i was looking over the how to for this a while and i still have a couple questions.

It is light green not green with a pink line. Check the diagram its very easy to match up the connector with the wires. The left and right side of the connector are totally different so its easy to tell the difference. Do not guess, you have to be certain and it has to not only be the correct color but in the correct position according to the diagram.

When you do get the correct wire connect to it and run the wire to the switch either power or acc. The other side of the switch (power or acc) then goes to ground. Don't connect anything to the ground on the switch.

These switches are made to turn power off and on thats why they are labelled power and acc, the ground (when connected) will light the switch when power is applied to the power connector and the switch is on, thats all its for.

You are not connecting power to the switch so it will not light up regardless of what you do.
i have a SPDT switch that i will be using. using the diagram, so i solder on a wire to pin 13 and 14 to my acc and power on the switch and connect nothing for the ground on the switch right?

having the wires coming out of the ecu will hinder from me reassembling it. how can i overcome this???

want to double check cause don't wanna screw up my ecu

That's for a lighted switch. If you take a regular SPDT center off switch, just hook it up as in Jime's diagram, with the common pole going to ground.

You don't have to put the clear plastic cover over the ECU harness connector, it just keeps the wires nice and orderly.

ahh crap. ok i understand with the switch situation. i thought center off ment there is no center for off.

since the switch i have is just a rocker switch, could i just connect maybe just 13 and ground it?

so it would be off on 1 side and on on the other...

if i can't, i'll just go buy one

also tried turning on ignition on the acc when i had the plastic cover off and made this weird humming/buzzing sound. went away after i put it back on.

is this something to worry about?

you cant do it like that with a lighted switch, 13 OR 14 need to be grounded. your wiring would send 12+ volts.
