fog lights

i have a 98 maxima. And i ordered the fog lights. I went to put them in and the bracket mounts were missing the part where they bolt onto the car. I was pissed so i ended up welding them to my car instead of bolting them. I think it was a factory defect did any one else have this problem.

If you have a GXE/GLE and did not come from the factory with fogs, you need to purchase the brackets as well as the fogs. I still do not understand how you welded plastic....and no it is not a factory defect.

No the brackets came with the lights
But the bracket mounts didnt have the screw wholes where they screwed into the car. So i welded the bracket to the car then put the fog lights in.
That should clear some things up

Sounds like you either got fogs for the wrong year max or you got crappy ebay knockoffs.
