eBay Testpipe install

Hey folks I just bought one of those cheap ebay test pipes that are marketed as hiflow cats. It doesn't appear to have an o2 sensor bung. I have a Greddy SP2. will I be able to move the cat sensor to the bung on the SP2? Are the wires long enough? Is the bung the same size?

LOL, I just bought one too. I think w/ the 97-99s, there's no sensor for the cat so I dont have to worry about that.

Yea, IIRC 97-99's have an s-pipe between cat and b-pipe, that's solely there for the 02 sensor (and to make up wasted space by an exhaust redesign).

95/6 have a rear O2 sensor, the others don't.

From what I understand my the 95-96 cat has an o2 sensor in it. The test pipe doesn't have an o2 sensor bung so there is no place for it to go. I have two options. I can get an o2 simulator or find another place for the sensor to go. I'm thinking that I could put the o2 sensor in the bung thats on the Greddy B-pipe. Only problem is that I don't think the o2 sensor wires are long enough to reach. Would it affect anything if I just used regular wires to extend it?

the 95/96's have an O2 sensor on the cat, and the 97-99's have one slightly after the cat mounted in the b pipe. Get an O2 bung welded on somewhere or get a sim.

you have 3 choices get an o2 bung welded into the cat, get an o2 sim or just extend the wires. no it wont affect it if you do just make sure to line them up the correct way

Got another question. I just got up under the car to start the install and I noticed something.....The CAT's o2 sensor's thread is small. Too small to fit in the bung on the b-pipe. Do you think I could take the direct-fit o2 sensor I have already and just splice the wires.(It's one of the y-pipe o2 sensors.) Are all 3 o2 sensors the same? Do they all do the same job? I don't know.

They are not all the same. The 2 up front control AFR under light load/throttle situations. The rear cat monitors the condition of the catalytic converter. They are also different physically, and also share different harnesses(i.e. plugs/connectors).

The rear one can be simulated using any related o2 simulator.
