Tranny Problem Getting in To first gear

So I just got my maxima about two months ago. Its got 135000 on the body and about 71000 on the engine and tranny. Its a 5 speed. I notcied a few days ago its hard for me to get into first gear. Like lets say Im at a stop sign sometimes it just doesnt go into first from N. I am holding the clutch all the way down. The only way it goes into first is if I put it into second then get it into its pattern then up to first. Doesnt happen all the time just sometimes. I wonder if me parking it in first makes a differnece?? Dont beat or rape the car dont double clutch either and I shift around 2500 2600 RPM's. Just wonderin whats the problem before I swap clutchs from the 5th Gen AE.. Any ideas?? My cuz suggested bleeding the clutch lines

my car has similar issues and the motor mounts are absolutely shot. i'm going to fill them with poly and hopefully that solves the problem...i was thinking maybe the tranny was just old but i'm crossing my fingers!

The poly upgrade sounded real cool, great idea, you could try that,

This is a common thing with these cars. It may be low on clutch fluid which takes the dot3 break fluid. The container is located from looking at the front of the car on the left side back by the firewall. This may not even remedy this.

Another thing you could try as well is bleed the clutch. The bleeder valve is on top of the transmission. I think it’s a 10mm wrench.

Bleeding instructions just like bleeding the breaks on the car.

Push the clutch three times then open the bleeder valve.

***DO NOT RELEASE THE CLUCH TILL YOU CLOSE THE BLEEDER VALVE!!!***

Then release then clutch.

Pump the clutch three times then open the valve then close the valve when the break fluid comes out.

Do this three times...

When doing this you may see the fluid kind of white which means that there was air in the system.
Hope this helps if someone else did not help you with this yet...

i think it depends on how quickly you want to accelerate...I usually shift low like 3k and then take 3rd to about 50 and stick it in 5th and cruise.

Ill bleed the clutch lines and see if that works. But im kinda lost at this part

Push the clutch three times then open the bleeder valve.

***DO NOT RELEASE THE CLUCH TILL YOU CLOSE THE BLEEDER VALVE!!!***

Then release then clutch.

The bleeder valve is open so arent I supposed to keep the clutch in

pump the clutch 1,2,3 times and hold it down, have someone close the bleeder valve while the pedal is still being held down. then you can release the pedal and repeat.
Personally, when i was doing this I would have my friend close the bleeder valve and then the pedal wouldnt return, I would have to pull it back up...it would get stuck on teh floor i donno...

Simply pulled the pedal back up with my hand and it worked fine.

Yeah my car does that too, I've bled it, etc. I think the synchros are just 'shifting', likely why when you put it 2nd first it lines the synchros up closer and she will slide in. I usually just depress the clutch a couple times and it slides right in, worse when its cold, I changed the transaxel fluid to Amsoil last week and it hasn't been stubborn since.
