Sway bar sway to much!!(rant)

You know what is really urking my nerves? I've been looking for a 4th generation rear sway bar for some time now and everyone that is selling it wants way too much for them. CATTMAN PERFORMANCE is selling them for like 130 bucks and these people want 120-150 for a USED sway bar!!!
For instance, this guy was selling a USED stillen rear sway bar and a USED rear strut bar. I offered him a 100 for his USED rear sway bar and 75 for his USED rear strut bar for local pickup AND HE SAID NO!! He was going to wait on a better offer. What the HELL is that all about? I offer him a no bull/lowball price and he's going to be a greedy about all this? To top it off, the bolts were rusted and I would have to buy my own.

People with sway bars please understand that this is a WEAR item. It's not an ECU or anything so please take this into consideration. To top it off, he said that he purchased it for like 300plus. I hate people who are unrealistic and think that they can make all of their money back for a used item. It's like me buying a car for 20 grand and years later trying to sell it for the same price. Absoultely unrealistic.

Is it really that important to hold out for that precious extra 10 bucks???!!!
Screw all these overpriced used sway bars.......I'm going to CATTMAN PERFORMANCE .................FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!

Thats the beauty of a free trade system, if you don't like the price you don't have to buy it. Its not really a wear item BTW, its a metal bar with urathane bushings, what is going to wear out? You should chill on the rant, or no one is going to give you a good price on anything.

+1 dude, i'm in the same boat as you. I see new ones on e-bay for the same price as these used ones...n i'm trying to get a used rear sway bar for around $70-$80 which i don't believe is unreasonable. but it seems as if i'm out of my mind here....so sooner or later...e-bay it is for the progress...

Supply and demand baby, the higher the demand is for something the more your more likely to pay. Ive learned with our cars even with the stealership, even though the part guys' here to help ease the pain, for cars that are 7-12 years old some parts are grossly over priced, ex.. $379 for an oem y pipe...fuhget 'about it!!!!

I don't see why you are so upset. It's human nature to try to get the most out of what you have.

You have to pay to play and most importantly, if a person is not in a hurry to sell, he can hold out for the best price offered.

I've sold my old parts before and generally get 50-75% of what I paid for it retail.

If it bother's you that much, don't rant and buy new. Open up that shiney new sway bar and install it.

2 days later, look under the car and it's not new anymore.

I can't stand when people want the best but are unwilling to pay for it.
