Starting problems...

Ok so when I go to start my car (I've always had some starting issue) it now makes a whirring sound like either the belts or something in the starter is just spinning. Is this signs of a starter going/gone bad, or something else? Thanks for your help.

yeah, i think i have that too. The starter does its thing but doesn't seem to "let go" when the engine starts which causes it to make noise. It's a pretty new starter too.
