it has been doing this for a while and when it is hot it doesnt do it as much as in the morning when i am first starting it. i start it it starts fine but it makes this wierd noise while its starting and after its done starting like some slight grinding noise, is this the starter?

 

It's possible the grease inside the starter has dried up. Try bench testing the starter, see if it makes the same sound. Motorvate.ca, I believe, has the starter regrease howto.
