How to remove center console (wood trim)

Ive looked in the how to's so dont get me on that ha ha, but i am looking to put a new dash kit in my car, any idea where i could find a silver or aluminum dash kit for a 98 maxima GLE, but in order to do that i need to figure out how to take out the current dash first without breaking it, so can some one here help me out
