Attention anyone with a starter replacd in the past 3-5 years

I just got off the phone with my local shop who had replaced my starter 6 times now. Apparently, nissan decided to save money by putting some plastic pieces in their starters and surprise surprise they dont last as long as the metal pieces. Theres apparently a recall for anyone who has these.

SO! If you have had your starter replaced in the past few years, theres a chance itll break at any moment.

the last thing i will ever believe are the words coming out of the mouth of a mechanic. why dont you tell your mechanic to use a different brand starter so maybe it doesnt break THIS time.

No, I don't live there anymore. I used to live by the Clock Tower in Herndon. I was a Reston Town Center for lunch a few weeks ago on my way back from a meeting downtown.

Ah ok. I try to stay away from herndon, their cops are bad. Virginia cops in general are really bad... I drive like an old lady 90% of the time now. I have about 14 or so points from getting caught drifting on streets. AND they just upped their fines...

Yup, I did that too, and it's been good so far. I killed the starter once because I was having an unrelated starting issue... my Optima Red Top kept going, but the starter couldn't. Thank goodness for Autozone's no-hassle lifetime warrantee.

Fees...not fines.

FFxCoPo were the most strict traffic-enforcers that I have seen anywhere...and their courts are notorious for siding with the police, despite evidence to the contrary.

I remember I got caught doing donuts in a well known donut doing parking lot. The cop took pictures and told the judge we made all of them in a half hour (I was there MAYBE 10 min). I had never had a gun pointed at me or been cuffed before. I was told it was because there were two of us and 1 of him but if you look at me... im a nerd, not exactly the shady type. *shrugs*

IMO worse than FFX is sterling. *sigh* I was young. Havent had a ticket in over 2 years *knocks on wood*
