Wiring problem?

Ok, to start off I have had my share of alts.....

Currently, I have changed my headlight bulbs. They are no longer 9004. they are H4's.

I used a diagram off here to cut and re-solder the new "socket" type.

I have had my Ebrake light + batt light come on randomly for some time now. 4 months? 6?

Anyways, I noticed, that, when these lights come on, my day time running lights go out...... the exact same time.... BUT when i turn my head lights on, and the ebrake + batt light come on, my headlights dont go out. (sorry if thats hard to read)

These observations are taken from looking in the reflection of the car ahead of me.

ideas?

Think i wired them wrong? need a bigger fuse or something? Or could the alt just be hanging in there this long???
