just in: Weapon-R coilovers(first impressions)(kinda long)
#1
I just recently recieved my Weapon-R coilovers from ImportStudio.com (by the way, their customer service is pretty good) and I noticed that the rear springs is kinda soft. Like I was able to compress them a little by with just squeezing my hands, and also, they are a lot thinner then the fronts. The front coils are pretty darn thick, and seems very stiff, could not be compress with my hands, not even when I stand on them! And the helper springs, they're like nothing, very very soft. Just there to prevent the springs from jumping off the perch, like in some cases with GC's coilover. Anyway, I was going to just order the Eibach ESR springs that they use on Gound Control, but Weapon-R coilovers uses an usual spring I.D. (inside diameter of the spring), its 2.75inch while the ESR are 2.5" and 2.25". Because I was just planning on buying some stiffer rear springs. I dont suppose Weapon-R sells them seperately, but I'll give them a call tomorrow. Well, I'll see how it goes when I get the time to install them. By the way, does anyone know the spring rate for the Weapon-R? Nothing on the springs, but I saw a picture of Weapon-R coilover and it had the spring rate on it, hmm, wonder why it doesnt say for Maxima's.

I jsut got mine in the mail also - on friday. Have not yet had the chance to open them up yet. Are you saying that they dont come with the red spring thing(I dont know much about suspensions) that goes around the coilover? Dont we just need new shocks to run with the coilovers? Or do we need more?![hat](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/hat.gif)
