I just paid $25 to phatmax95 for a passenger side trunk bracket and it doesnt fit for some reason. The only thing I can think is that it is bent. The reason I bought a new one is because my old one was bent and the trunk didnt close. With the bracket bolted to the rear deck, the end that connects to the trunk lid will not clear the edge of the trunk opening.Is there any other reason as to why this hits the trunk? common sense says its bent but there might be another reason.

Im pretty sure he sold me crap.

 

since this is an ongoing problem, post some pics of the bracket, the bracket mounted to the trunk and the bracket mounted to the car. maybe someone can spot the REAL problem and help you. just a thought.
