hey guys i just wanted to give you guys a heads about this. a seller is using someones pic on their page. i know if seen this car before on the .org and cardomain. ive sent them a message about it already. here is the link to the picture. its about a flip flop trunk lid.

Yeah I saw another maxima from the org on ebay for a cf hood ad. Just shows people will steal pics that get put up on the internet.

Thats either a very old member that use to be here, woodear's or its Araffio's <-another old member. I dont think either are on the board anymore.

Being that the member is in prison and the car is long gone, I think it's a moot point.

 

Who cares? He is using a bunch of different pictures of cars just to explain what a flip flop trunk is. His auction has nothing to do with the actual car, its just a kit that will accomplish what is being showed in the picture.

Plus like fr33way said, that car has been gone and the owner isnt around to complain.

you should probably check. then sue the company and use the money to build your max, then it will be really fast, just my .02

 

first of all in order to sue them your gonna have to show proof that its your car not that it looks like it showing the plates and when they do show the plates they blank them out

 

That is the dumbest ****ing thing I have ever heard. What are you going to sue for? There is absolutely no way to prove that they stole that picture. Plus, its not like pictures posted on maxima.org are protected under some copyright.

 

You can only sue if the pictures are under copyright not because it's a picture of your car no matter if you are the one who took it or not. You all you should be proud that someone went out of their way to look at your car.

 

Someone has also used my pics on ebay before.

 

The pictures are in the public domain and not copyright protected...they will laugh you out of court.

 

I saw an auction for a 'euro style' front bumber and the pic was EA's sweet a$$ green maxima...people are idiots.

 

FYI, if an image is not copyrighted then it is free for anyone to use. I steal pics of items I'm selling on Ebay, it's quick.

thats araffios car, i pointed this out a few days ago cause i did that flip flop conversion to my trunk
