Time for a major tune-up, need help
Hey everyone.
I was hoping i could get your help with this, its time for me to do a tune-up on my 98 maxima with 160k miles on it. I need to change belts, spark plugs & wires, fuel injectors and pumps, recharge the air conditioner stuff, and of course engine and tranny oils, and whatever else needs to be done.
I would like to take it to a shop somewhere in Southern california (San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles) area somewhere. Does anyone know a good place?
And, unless the shop I take it to can do it, can anyone recommend different spark plug types/brands and fuel injectors? To be honest, with this many miles im not looking for the best performance, mainly looking to increase the engine life to keep it running longer.
Hope to hear from you all soon, thanks!

1. The VQ does not have spark plug wires, they are direct ignition via ignition coils.
2. NGK Plats for spark plugs (will last 60K)
3. Stick with stock fuel injectors and unless you have a fuel problem (ie, misfire) I would not mess with them. Same with the fuel pump. Unless you have low fuel pressure.
Just my 0.02. There is a great writeup in on VQpower of a 60K mile service that sounds like what you are about to do. Look in there and you will find it.
