i thought i fixed the damn thing

so about a week ago i tried to start my car. it started and would die right away. i figured it was the fuel pump so i replaced it. the car started working fine, but now, one day later, it doesnt start at all. it just turns over but does not start. i have no idea whats going on, any ideas?
thanks

Did you put in a new fuel filter too? Check the fuel pump fuse?

have you checked your fuel injector grounds and wiring to the fuel pump?

You haven't tried checking your codes, have you? That's one of the first things on a no-start condition.

Ah is that what that is? My Maxima starts perfect most of the time but every now and again I need to try 2 or 3 times or tap the gas while starting it. Not a big issue so I've never looked into it.

it doesnt have to be ur fuel pump yah know? I mean it could be lost of things, Mas air flow sensor, ur crack position sensor, or ur starter going back. About 6 months back my car had this hard starting problem, i mean i would have to crack it over and over and over again before it started, but the strange thing is that is sounded like the starter was good, until it took a dump about 3 weeks of that hard crackin problem. I would thing its the crack position sensor though...

Did you do anything at all?

Or did it just start up with no work on your part?

If it's the latter, perhaps it is the ground from your battery. Be sure both your battery terminals are nice and snug, and your ground wire is snug on the body.
Make sure there isnt any corrosion or anything on them.

Good luck!

sounds like ur started bro. Mines had did that it would just crank and crank, and some days it would start up just fine. Then it went dead on me one day at work.

who are you talking to? me?

read the thread, there's nothing confusing about it, really. I replaced the ECTS after having the same problems you did and the car has not stalled since. Not all problems have IDENTICAL symptoms from car to car, you know. If you are 100 percent sure its not the ECTS, then there are plenty of other suggestions in the thread. I was just trying to show that someone already posted a thread like this before and the ORG came together with its advice already at some point...so i was trying to prevent redundancy.
