help!!car awkwardly dies

hey guys...havent been in a while....well since i gave the car to the lil bro just now the car dies after about 10 mins of driving... a white smoke comes from engine bay....then when trying start right after it doesnt even crank, after about 5 mins then i am able to crank it and start. also before it dies it doesnt even bogg or roughly idle, it just shuts off, one thing that came to my mind was maybe an exhaust leak from the stillen y pipe that gives it no pressure, but then it doesnt make sense when i think about it, nor does that explain the reason for it not being able to crank right after it shuts off, but thats the only place where i can think of the smoke coming from..... need help guys, thanks also no cel on

what? are you joking? its not a battery at all.

white smoke from engine bay? you cant pin point the location? generally speaking white smoke is coolant.

no start when the car is already hot can be caused by a cam/crank sensor.

good luck with everything.

yea mate ... battery, just get it checked and know for sure. my Max did the same thing, but i pinpointed the "smoke" ... not that there is much of it, but a puff now and again yes. my bat had a dead cell and was shorting out on it'self somehow. would start sometimes ... and other times it wouldn't do a thing. kept clearing my memory on both ECU and Alpine.

really need more info to be for sure ... and yes, i agree white smoke 99% of the time is coolant related ... but who knows
