FINALLY got my NOS kit in!!!! Had a little trouble with the window switch, but now it's fully functional. All I have to say is DAMN...I only have a 50 shot right now and it pulls hard. My friend and I did a VERY porfessional install, I think it looks REALLY good. We didn't get the FPSS installed or the FP or A/F gauges becuase we couldn't figure out how to tap into the fuel rail.....isn't there supposed to be a test port?!?! Somebody please help! I checked my plugs after doing a run, and the white part is COMPLETELY white...but if I strain my eyes and look VERY closely...there are a few microscopic and I mean microscopic black specks. the plugs acutally look VERY clean. I'm just wondering if that sounds right cuz I don't have the A/F gauge in yet. Sombody PLEASE help with the plugs and stuff. I want to PERSONALLY thank: Matt (MardiGrasMax), Matt (mtrai760), Tony (1MAX2NV), and Sinclair (Synki) you guys were a great help.

One of many helpful ideas I got from this forum,,,

Is how to correctly check the plugs after a nitrous spray.
I forgot which member mentioned it (could have been many)
This is what they said.

"Find a open road where you can coast to a stop after doing a WOT nitrous spray. Right after spraying, turn off the ign and coast to a spot where you can pull the plugs. Do not drive to this spot, because you will be looking at normal plugs instead of nitrous plugs. And of course check 'all' plugs not just the easy ones"

All this makes sense to me, is this how you did it?

Which brand do you have? How much did it cost? Is 50 all we can run in 4th gen max's?

you have to buy brass fittings to install the FPSS and FP gauge. it's going to be a brass T with two barbed ends and 2 1/8 compression fittings. you cut the fuel line between the fuel filter and the fuel rail. stick one end of the fuel line into one barbed fitting and the other end of the fuel line into the other barbed fitting. then screw in your FPSS and FP gauge sender. you'll need teflon to make sure you don't have leaks.

sx7r, thanks for the info on the FP and FPSS.

I still want to know if my plugs are O.K.

BTW - I sprayed tonight against my friends new 315hp M Coupe, and he wasn't pulling much...maybe not at all.

can't wait for the 70 shot

Congrats!

Congrats on getting your kit installed. I hooked up my fuel pressure right above the fuel filter with a T-fitting, and the FPSS along the line from the Fuel pressure T to the fuel rail. Really tiny specs of black? I have yet to get any specs with the 50 shot. I would clean them off and give it one more try, should look kinda like little pepper spots. Make sure they are not just from normal running of the car. Clean them, run the car, check them, run the car with NOS, and check again. It's a lot of work, but the only way to know for sure. Good luck and have fun!

the tiny specs of black could be just be carbon deposits. what color is the ground strap? the sure way to tell is to get a new set of plugs, lower the nitrous jet, and see if the specs go away.

i'll be joining you real soon too. i'm getting my bottle filled tonight and i'm gonna wait to spray, even though the nos is done, until i get the pillar pod and gauges installed. so early next week, if i don't succumb to the dark side and spray blind.

For the FPSS and FP Sender install just unplug the fuel line from the fuel filter, I hate to cut factory stuff if I dont really have too. Get a 1' piece of 5/16 "fuel injection" fuel hose, 2) 1/8"NPT "T" fittings (all female ports), 2) 5/16" nipple to 1/8"NPT male fittings, 1) 1/8"NPT male to male coupler. Use the first T fitting to tap out of the fuel line, use the 5/16" nipple's and 1' of 5/16 EFI hose to do this. Then take the 1/8"NPT coupler and attach the second T fitting to the first. Install the FPSS and FP sender in the second T fitting. Use teflon tape or paste on all NPT fittings. Get them tight. If you can picture this set up it is allot easier to assemble this rig off the car. Than just tap it into the fuel line with the 5/16" nipples and 5/16" EFI hose. Use some zip ties to secure this rig out of the way so it dosent flop around.

If the ground strap on your plugs look to be anodized blue/green all the way down to the threaded part on the plug yout too lean. If the anodizing goes about half way your ok.

Black or brown specs are ok as long as their very few of them.

Silver specs are BAD! They are little pieces of your pistons.

Use a 10x magnifing glass to look at the specs. A jewlers loop works well.

I only have a 50 shot...and almost brand new plugs....the ground strap just looked normal with some carbon near the threads....no different colors though. I don't think anyone has every had a problem on here running lean with just a 50 shot....

Bri your car hauls....The stoners next door were impressed when u sprayed down the street and then locked the brakes at the stop sign.

BTW.....Not to burst your bubble....Nasem wasnt hitting his car from the stoplight. He would pull at least 3-4 cars on you in the 1/4.....i got a rolling start on him at about 20 and he punched it at a standstill and raced greg for about a 1/4 and they both were at least 10 cars ahead

No problem with the help Brian.

Pics are a great thing arent they?

I bought 2 "T" brass fittings and mounted them together so my FPSS & FP sensor are close together.

As far as the plugs, i checked mine right after and the strap is white, no specs at all. It just means teh plugs have miles on them. Its normal. The FP is very important to see if your running lean or not. I would do that asap. Your FP should be around 61-63psi w/ a 50 shot.
