Exhaust problem, input please

just recently as i accelerate hard i can really smell the stench of exhaust in the cabin of my car with the windows open.. smell goes away when idling or low rpms.. but when accelerated the smell returns.. any ideas? is something burning? no cel's for an exhaust leak.. i have aftermarket exhaust from the manifold back.. whats goin on..

thanks

check your y pipe for holes? gaskets? cat? is the car louder when you accelerate than normal?

the car has no change in sound when i accelerate.. ypipe has 1000 miles on it..

i actually just checked and do have the 0302 egr code

i also have the 1008 evap purge vol. contrl. code but that may be unrelated..
the egr code has been on before.. put on a mevi and cleaned the sheet out of the primary egr tube to the manifold.. it was clogged solid.. then the code went away for awhile.. i'm assuming this new smell is the egr resurfacing somehow.. did something fail?

There is no CEL for a leak, best you'd get is O2 sensor code if it was before one of the sensors. Do you hear a leak at idle? Closest two flanges to the cabin are rear manifold to y-pipe and y to cat, I think those would be the likeliest places for leaks if you can smell exhaust in the cabin. Only problem is that large of an exhaust leak at the rear manifold would throw an O2 code.

Try to get it up in the air and look for leaks, or get an exhaust shop to take a look.
