Crankshaft REF Sensor, Serious Implications?

Recently I had a Crankshaft Position Sensor (REF) code, I check the resistance of the sensor and it was coming up with 532 ohms, and its supposed to be within the 470 - 570 range, so It was fine, I had already ordered one though from fanaticrockford, but before it arrived the code just went away...

I replaced the sensor and felt a significant change, smoother ride/acceleration. But lately now, the motor feels like its being bogged down by some fuel/air delivery problem, it will accel real slow till about 3.5-4k and when it gets there you can feel it, like a variable intake, it all of sudden pulls real harder as it falls into place or something.

Anyway I'm going to do some maintenence, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs (NGK Iridium IFR5E-11), when I do my 97-99 + CF Hood swap next week. Just wondering if the appearance/disappearance of this code could mean something more serious in the engine.

Thanks

Clean/Check the cam/crank sensors(3 sensors total)

Clean/Add grounds to the engine. Especially the 2 wires that are on the intake manifold

Two wires on the intake manifold? Is it easy enough to add grounds? 0/1, 4 awg?

They are the only wires on the lower intake manifold

Use 8-12gauge wire.

I hear you, next monday I'm spending the whole day with the max haha. 97/99 front end swap, CF Hood install, oil filter change, air filter change, spark plug change, sensor check, and installing grounds, and a real good wash.

it'll be a long day
