Door panel inserts

Does anybody know how hard it is to remove door panel inserts and reinstall them in another door panel? I'm not quite sure how they're connected and I'm afraid of breaking mine if I try to investigate :P

Leather inserts are very easy to remove and re-insert in another car that had leather inserts. They're held on by a few metal tabs around the perimeter of the insert.

Cloth "inserts" aren't really inserts - they're just a cloth cover over where an insert would go in a leather equipped car. They are pretty easy to remove, too - they are just glued on. You can just use some vinyl/fabric glue to reattach them.

Putting leather inserts in door panels that came with cloth originally involves cutting holes for those metal tabs which could be a pain.

Don't you have to remove the whole door panel, to bend the tabs on the insert back so that it holds? I'm going to be replacing one of mine and was thinking of using industrial velcro to reattach (homedepot)
