I have seen on different pics throughout the net that some people have their engines donw in colors. Say for example the red hoses and decals on the engines. Here is my question, do all hoses come in different colors if Iwanted to do so and where do you get them? Same goes for the engine decals like where the writing is on it. Where do you get those is there a website anywhere with them or are they even at a local auto parts store.

Thanks

RE: Engine Dress-Up Accessories...

Firstly, you're talking about the valve cover right? Its the piece on the front of the cylinder bloack that says Nissan on it (silver). You can't buy those red, but you can paint it. It removes very easily with the 6 or so hex screws you can see, and you can simply mask off what you don't want painted. Secondly, the hoses are all different sizes. The colored hose dress-up kits you see online and in magazines are all for Hondas, and the hoses are the exact size and length for Civics and Integras. If you want to get colored hoses, you will have to go to a local performance shop and show them what you want changed. That way they can ordert they exact size and length you need for a Maxima. Just trying to help .

If there are any hoses that you dont want to totally replace you can do what i did on some ..... what you do is buy some nice silicon hose, wahtever color you like and slice it down the middle so that you can "slide" it ontop of the hose you want to change the color of,

i got racing sports akimoto hoses from summit racing n blue, it didnt replace too many hoses, but the length i had no problem, plenty of extra, plus i used wire looms on some parts that i were far enough from heat, and well some a little too close, oh well, it looks tight
