Suggestions or ideas????

here it goes......

i had to put steelies on because i cracked one rim. Anyway my rear wheels had 1 msising lug nut on both sides. One side is fine but the passenger rear when i was taking of the wheel it was a ***** and when i was putting on the steelie, it would not sit perfectly into that circleish hub looking thing in the middle (sorry for the lack fo technical terms). so when i tightned it up, like the lower lugs would be tighten farther and closer to the wheel hub (i tried not to tighent to hard like tighten the bottom to the pt it gets bit hard than the top then the bottom and so on to get as close of equal tightening as possible).... but there is still a differce in millimeters but when im drving, it looks like my rear wheel is about to fall of, it looks like its wobbling its doing the 8 formation. Is there a way to that that center piece of????? i think it became disformed becuase one lug nut not there to hold up the weight there and the heavy 18's pressing on one side hard.........

SOOO do i need to get a new wheel hub because i kno the way im drivng its not safe, even though the nuts are on tight.

The lug nuts do not hold the weight, the hub does. So, missing one lug nut should not cause your wheel to wobble. When you removed your 18", did you leave behind the hub ring?

They are usually color coded. They should come off with the wheel, but sometimes stick to the hub. If it did than your OE will not seat correctly.

My OE wheel doenst sit on it rite now..............the hub doesnt fit thru the middle of the wheel.....

it didnt wobble on my 18's and nots not wobbling now it looks like its woblling when im driving, due to the fact tha one area of the wheel is prseed closer and tighter to the hub then the area opposite of it.

Is there anyway i can take the middle peace of and replace it or not have one?

Yea, sounds like the ring of metal should not be there to me. The wheel should bolt directly onto the brake rotor. Sounds to me like there is something in between.

the other side is fine, same the middle of the steelie fits on that circular nub perfectly, the other side doesnt as if it is disformed and not perfectly round to go around the middle of wheel.

Ok, I'm trying to remeber what the hub looks like.. Does it look like it needs to be filed down to fit inside the wheel?

100 percent you left your hub ring for the 18's on the hub when you switched to your steelies. If you dont know what that is or looks like its usually a black circle piece of plastic that is meant to be put on the inside of aftermarket rims where it meets the hub. Stupid me, I was working quickly and didn't give any thought to the hub ring and did the same thing when I switched back to my stock wheels. My wheel was wobbling like a b!tch. You are most likely going to need a new hub ring and some new studs after all is said and done. A minor but costly mistake that I found out the hard way. (Maxfanatik, turn your rims around and look in the rim, you'll see what im talking about concerning the black plastic ring. Most of the time they'll stay on the rim when you take them off the car but occasionally they do get stuck on the hub.)

Was the RR rim the one that was cracked? If so what happen to it? If it was an impact, the hub may be damaged.

The rim rides on the hub. The middle piece is just a dust cover.

There made to fit aftermarket wheels because our stock ones won't fit in the aftermarket bolt hole.
