have u tested your battery??

COuld be your starter going out.. also..

The battery isn't even a year old. I have an Optima Yellow.

sounds very much like there's a bad spot in the starter ..that little hiccup just b4 the start. yes, I'd say time for a new starter. also, if you can, check your voltage while cranking...should stay above 10 volts. if below that check the battery & connections.

Try replacing the starter, when you have the starter out spin the engine by a wrench on the crank pulley and see if there is any chips or missing teeth on the flywheel.

It sounds more like a bad flywheel, but it can also very well by a bad starter, even though you might not hear gears grinding, its also worth a shot looking at.

Have you ever started your car twice? like start the car then grind the starter?

I started the car twice and the sound is similar. I even started the car this AM and the starter didn't make ANY sounds. I'll get a new starter tomorrow. Thanks folks.
