How much of your car is still stock/factory?
How much of your car is still stock/factory?
I was just wondering, thought this would be an interesting poll. I'm wondering how much of your car is still factory, still that same 8-12 year old parts. I know I've had to replace bumpers, retainers, exhaust, headlights just from use and accidents and I know some of you have had to replace engines and such. I'd say overall my car is a good 80% still factory.

Hard to answer. What do you mean by stock? I mean these cars are 10+ years old, parts have been replaced. ALOT of parts. Brakes, exhaust, trannys, sensors, filters, cosmetic replacements, etc... you name it.
Everything I've replaced has been with OEM spec parts. Though only about 1% of those has been directly from Nissan.
Does that make me 100% stock? Or minus all the parts I've replaced? (80+%)?

I recently put an aluminum flywheel on my 02 max 6spd. Later found out the factory one was dual mass, and the new may cause chattttterrrrrr. Well it definitly does! I also got a nasty noise when i start the car, dont know if i have to shim the starter? Does anyone know what that noise could be?

.. actually aside for the springs/shocks/alpine headunit/lip kit.... everything is OEM NISSAN... headlights/wheels/navigation.. and all replacement parts are OEM never those "nappa brands" just becasuse i want her to have that OEM feel.
Hmmm, Ive replaced my hood, trunk, front seats, rear seats, the interior carpet, swapped motor and tranny, tails, headlights, suspensions, brakes, spoiler, swapped out door handles and the window trim, even changed the the color of paint so not much is left on the car that was on it when I bought it.

what is a NEW DECK ??
100% stock here with a 98 GLE. Car runs fine aside from needing an O2 sensor. My mother bought it new so I know its history accurately. Has been VERY reliable so far with ~138K miles...only neede reg maintenance like fluids, brakes, and struts... nothing drivetrain wise.
My '98 SE 5 spd is totally stock. Its an all around great car. Lately I've been getting the urge to remove some of the space between the wheels and the body. I've heard you don't want to lower more than about an inch and a half. Next I've seen some pics with 17" Infinity G-35 wheels that looked pretty good on the Max. Who knows what the future holds, perhaps a 128K mile makeover. Rich
Interior carpets and seats are still stock.
My radio is a stock 99 HU (for now)
Trunk lid is a stock from a 97.
some of my radiator hoses are stock
Front and Rear bumper is still stock.
Engine harness is still ( has stock 2002 injector clips soldered on).
ECU is still stock (tapped by a VAFCII but still stock)
