Wheels for a 4th gen Maxima
Wheels for a 4th gen Maxima
I know there has to be a thread or a sticky out there that tells me this, but I am not having any luck finding it. What OEM Maxima / Altima wheels will fit on a 4th Gen Maxima? I've got 15" honeycombs now, but would like to get some 16" or 17" OWM wheels.

i just put fd rx7 wheels on my car tonight. they look super hot...minus the paint job they need.
only thing is you cant use centercaps and you need spacers in the rear at least. im a retard and didnt read too much into it. so i had to fabricate some spacers quick just to last me to get to work in the AM when i can get actual spacers. since i did these at midnight, no place was open.

Get some lightweight wheels. Reducing rotating mass is worth every penny if your remotely interested in performance.
There are some lightweight non forged wheels (Kosei K1, OZ Superleggera off the top of my head). Forged wheels are obviously more expensive, but are light as hell i think the racing hart cp-035r in the same size as my wheels (17x8) are like 2lbs lighter per rim (13.6 vs 15.7).
It really depends on your budget though, and what your main goals are..performance or looks.

Thanks for the input guys - that's what makes the org awesome! I'm on a budget (like most people) so I thought I could find some OEM's reasonably priced and add to the looks of the car.
Yep, as stated any '89 or newer OEM Maxima wheels will fit, as well as '02+ Altima and 350z. If you're looking at aftermarket 5x114.3/5x4.5 will fit with a suitable offset (stock is +40 on the 4th gen, so probably +45 or less).

Doesn't mean he has to get 17s or 18s, As we all know 300zx TT wheels are a great example, not very light but they fit very well...
alright question ...this may or may not have been answered and i checked search with no luck. but..ive got a 4th Gen and i just bought a set of 2001 6 spoke 17". I need tires though... for the wheels to fit properly on the 4th gens do i need a certain tire size?
235/45/17 would be good diameter-wise too but it would also be a bit wide for the wheel so you'd get mushy handling.
its got tires on the wheels right now...he had the 17's wrapped with Potenza's (too bad their crap now...no tread...) that were 225/50 R17.... ill prob go with Bf Goodrich G-Force in a 225/50 R17 thanks!
