Clutch Fork

Hey I been having this problem with my clutch all of a sudden today been trying to get some insight. I wanted to know if it's normal for my clutch pedal to have a little play. What I mean is that under the hood, if I grab the clutch pedal I can move it up and down a little bit. I can't pull back but it can move vertically slightly when i push up. Is that normal, or do you think something came loose? No guessing preferred.

Sorry, no direct info here. I have a similar problem with mine. My clutch wasn't working correctly. All my clutch engagement moved to within about an inch of the floorboard...something was definitely wrong. I did the easy fix first, bled the clutch master and this did not fix the problem. I noticed similar play when I tried to move the external piece of the clutch fork. I got a little movement up and down like you described. Next I replaced all my master & slave cylinder and all the rubber hoses and bled the lines. Still made no difference in my clutch. It seemed that I could reseat the clutch fork and not get the up and down motion. So I'm pulling my transmission to see what the problem is. I'm thinking my clutch springs went, the pivot ball went, or something else. Good luck. Rich
