HELP! Trunk won't open

As the title reads, my trunk won't open. When I try to release it, it makes a sound like it already has been released, but it won't budge. It doesn't matter if I use the key, the remote, or the button inside the car - it won't open. Anyone have any ideas??!

Did you trip the lever inside the trunk? Even then, it should work with the key.

Tried pushing it down to try to relock it, and open it again? Or tried yanking up on it to see if it's stuck?

I'/m not sure about the lever, but I've tried everything else. I'm afraid to push or pull even more cuz I don't want the wing on my SE to snap

Do you have anything in your trunk? Subs? Maybe something is in the way of the torsion bars....

I got it fixed. For all intensive purposes, my car is completely stock. I eventually had to use a metal bar and get in through the trunk access from the back seat to move the little lever in just enough to open it. I suspect that the little rubber **** in the picture linked below caused the lever to move enough so that it couldn't move any more, but not enough to actually open the trunk.

Thanks for the suggestions anyways guys!

that happens to often to my taste since I've had the car. I carry a golf stick IN the car just in case. Last time, I had to remove the seat and plate, and take out my baby's troller from there, then push the pin up. It happened to me even with an empty trunk, and even with that lever hidden behind a metal plate I taped over it.It's ridiculous, I wonder if there is a way to completely cancel the valet feature..?
