Heated/Electric Seat install
#41
Ok I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know how I can get my I30 Seats to heat up in my 98 maxima? The i30 seats were installed by the previous owner. The heated seat swithces light up but are a little sticky from maybe something that spilled in the past. The fuse is replaced and all the plugs seem to be plugged in. Im a noob at this stuff lol. But if anyone thinks they can get it to work I will even pay you to come do it.

You need to do some testing.
1. Unplug the heater connection under the seat, turn the switch on, then use your DVM to see if you have power at the plug for the heater when the switch is on. If no, pull the switch and see if you have power there; keep tracing back until you find the problem.
2. If you do have power, use your DVM to see if you have continuity thru the seat heater wiring in the seat. If no, then there is a busted wire/wires somewhere in the seat. Then you have to decide if it is worth pulling the seat cover/cushions apart to find/fix.
Good luck and let us know what you find out.
