It would either be a y-pipe or Don's VB or the GForce ECU (in that order of preference).

Painting my car doesn't make it go any faster.

RE: What would I get...

I would get a Don's VB Upgrade, Stillen Aerokit, or Nitrous Oxide Kit (in that order). I like the paint job too, but $5500??? Come on, you could buy a Vortech V2 supercharger and a Nitrous-Oxide kit for the same price if not less. I want the VB upgrade for the performance, the Sillen kit because so many people have it I feel out of place, and the Nitrous-Oxide kit for...well...you know .

Either a supercharger (most obvious answer) or a KILLER system, tv's, dvd, custom trunk, etc.

I'd have to say the SC. My car is already being painted Viper blue in about a month and the Sarona body kit is being installed then also as well as having the moldings and keyhole shaved. I already pretty much have everything else or will be getting it soon anyways. The only thing I don't have the budget for right now is that SC.

Flame away, but... Cattman Gen2 Coilovers. I can almost afford wheels and tires, and if I wanted a drag racer I would have bought an f-body.

I would have to agree with the custom Turbo! Get the max up to about 400 horses and DAZAMN!

Not really a mod, but I would love a mod which gets rid of the all the squeaks, rattles, creaks, groans, clunks, and thumps from my car. I know it's normal for a car to develop noises as it gets older, and part of the blame is my suspension harshness, but still, the build quality of my vehicle leaves something to be desired when compared with Accord and Camry.

As for a real mod, I would say Don's VB mod or Cattman's Y-pipe (with free installation!). A supercharger would be nice, but that would sacrifice engine durability. Coilovers would be nice too, but I already can't stand the harshness of my lowered setup.

Hey Eric

I've been reading some of your posts and you always have so many negative things to say. Not trying to flame you, it's just a little funny. It just seems like you're always in a negative mood.

im def feeling the KILLER system deal...btw, thank you vyrus for your kind comment. i figured with all teh money we have to spend (esp installation and all) there is nobody that wouldn't like to have something done for free. as for the supercharger im not really a big speed fan and iv heard that thing can be pretty noisy. besides i loved that color on the max in the movie. to the guy who said he is getting it painted, are you paying over 5g to do it?? thats what i heard it was? good luck with it, take a thousand pics when its all done!

I just really like Viper blue. I liked it before the movie came out, it's really annoying now that everyone is asking me if I copied the movie. I'm probably going to get it a little darker than Viper blue, a mix of Viper blue and IS 300 blue. I like the SLK blue, but the blue I want is more metallic. It really doesn't matter though, no matter what color I paint it, someone else is bound to have the exact saem color at some point.

Re: Re: Re: Re: RE: What would I get...

I dunno about some of u guys, but for free, why wouldn't u take a turbo over sc. turbo=more hp over a sc. I know thats what i would definitely get! Besides, then u can get an intercooler and blow-off valve and get to see everyone's reaction when they hear that blow-off valve go off. I dunno, i guess im j/ curious.

Not so much that I care, it's just annoying. I do a lot of car shows, and a lot of how well you do is originality. When I'm spending that much time, money, and effort to do the car the way I want it, it's going to suck to have people come to me asking if I just totally copied someone. Or got it from a movie.

As for the cost, that's still up in the air. First shop quoted me $4K, second one quoted me $3K. But that was just for the painting. That doesn't include the custom bodywork I'm having done. Basically, my friend who's worked in a lot of body shops is fitting my new Sarona kit, shaving the moldings, shaving the trunk keyhole, fixing all the little dings in the car, and then sanding the whole thing down to get it ready to paint. That's going to save a lot of money. I've got a few other friend's with hookups at body shops so it's looking like I'll get it painted well for somewhere betweent 1K and $1500 depending on the kind of deal they can get me. These shops want some show cars repping for them anyways, so I have that angle going. I've already dropped $1100 on the body kit, so I'm trying to save where I can. But I'm not skimping on quality. If I have to pay $3K for the level of work I want, that's what I'll have to pay I guess.

TURBO

There is no turbo kit for a maxima, but you can get a custom turbo for any car. It's just that it will cost ya!!! If there was a kit for the max it would probably be the price of a sc, but since there isn't, i've heard around 10g for one.

i'd still go for a SC... i dont think you can get THAT much power out of a turbo on a max unless you really fix up the engine... and the compression ratio is already high on the Max... i duno tho i never looked into a turbo
maybe i'd go for an '02 3.5L swap with a SC on top...
