Autocrossing you mean? Sinewave does it along with SCCA Solo II, amongst others.

By roadracing he means racing on road courses, not streetracing. You know... like Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow, Sears Point, Road Atlanta, etc. And yes, I for one road race, and I know Foglght in the 5th gen forum road races as well, he used to work at the Skip Barber school at Road America.

Road racing is the most fun I've ever had in a car, and that includes EVERYTHING I've ever done in a car if you know what I mean. It's an unbelievable experience to be pushing your car that hard and being that close to the edge. I autoX as well, and it's tons of fun, but it doesn't come close to the experience of racing on a true road course.

agreed. Road Racing is SOOOOO much funner then drag. Drag for the most part is how much money you have invested in the car, good tuning, and being consistent. In Road Racing, even if you have a slower car, you can still beat out cars faster then yours.

cool...nice to see some road racers in this forum. I drive a G20 myself and my sister has a A32 Maxima and that car is pretty nice off the line, supercharged and all..but i was just wondering how it handles on a track. good to get some feedbacks.

i've posted some threads before stating that i have a online shop, www.digitalracer.com so if any fellow maxima owners are interested in anything for their car, let me know. also, i have contacts overseas in Japan so if you want hard to find stuff for your baby, just drop me an email, luke@digitalracer.com
thanks!
btw, any s.cal people's interested in road racing? there's an event at the end of august...it would be fun if you guys wanna hit up together.

No ****ing way! That is AWESOME!!! We need to keep this on the DL though, unless your hook-up wants it to be known. I just sent you an emiail, I'll send another one soon if you dont reply to the one I just sent. When does he need the $$$? What forms of payment will he accept? Cash, credit card? Let me know and THANK YOU! I will name my first born after you now.

Actually, there is an event in the middle of August also at Willow Springs Big Track. August 11-12 to be exact. I road race as much as I can, but the tracks are all so far away and tires are expensive. The Maxima handles real well on the track depending on the suspension set up (duh!), but it is still a pretty big four door sedan. But that makes it all the more fun when you pass an M3.

hehhe, i know exactly how you feel with your Max beating an M3...but i guess i am even more excited because my G20 also were able to catch an M3! even though i only got a air filter in my car hehe...well, experience and JIC coilvoers would help too i guess hehe.

Yeah, a set of true coilovers would really help on the track, but that $1600 or so stays really nicely in my pocket. Are you planning on going to the Willow Springs event? I'm going for sure with my brother and a few friends, so if you go, I'm sure we'll run into each other.

yeh..a set of nice quality coilovers such as the JIC-Magic from japan, it's gonna cost $1450...but the result will make you happy...just not on the wallet hehe.
yeh, i am going to the august 24/25 event at Big Track, it's a nice and fast track so if the Maximas were there, they would do pretty good, with some suspension mods that is.
