dont drive with your hood open and you're fine As for CAI you're good unless you run into a HUGE puddle, lake, ocean, etc.

lol

Dont worry sexima. Like Nine7Max said, Unless you drive with your hood open, NOTHING will happen. Driving through puddles wont even go that high into the engine !? I have a cone air intake www.projectimport.com and its perfectly fine. This kindof thing is definatally something you dont have to worry about.

depends on what kind of intake you have... if you just have a stillen/jwt intake or something like that... nothing to worry about... unless you like driving in teh rain without a hood.. as for the CAI... never heard of anyone really have problems... you need to go in a pretty deep puddle to get teh CAI to suck in water

Suck in water, well what about this, I am paraniod so i went through a really heavy storm where the roads were very wet, I though the intake might pull in some water so I stopped and pulled the cone out and put it to a SI, well the bottom of the filter was wet, like the black bottom of it, just from water splashing up into the wheel well, now in order for that water to get into the engine, it would have to have the intake submerged right? just wondering what you guys think. or would the engine get some water, in it due to the splash of water hitting the filter, or that splash of water is not enough to make it into the engine through the filter?

Not really. I just covered my intake with a plastic bag, put a rubber band on to seal it, and hosed down my engine bay.

There is no problem with an intake and water. With a normal cone intake (not CAI), any water enough to kill your engine will kill a stock intake as well. In fact, if I take a hose and spray right into the hood gap, no water gets on the intake. So, you're safe.

As for CAI, you will have to hit a really really deep puddle, like at least half way up the wheels to cause a problem.
