If I were to shave my side molding, would it leave holes that need to be filled? or is it taped on?

There are holes there. And they have to be filled. I was quoted around $600 to shave all 4 doors. I'm now having a friend do it since I'm repainting my whole car anyways, this way it's cheaper.

RE: Shaving Door Protection Strips

On a 1995 car you would have to repaint the doors, or else it would look like you were cheap and they just fell off leaving nasty-*ss marks. Filling in the holes should be the least of your concerns, because paint it gonna cost way more . Just trying to help.
