Hi, I was curious if there were any inexpensive mods I could make to my ride. I have a 98 GXE (I think) and would like to add a little power and maybe improve my MPG. Any ideas? Check this out also. It is hot as hell in Texas and my battery went out on me Friday evening. So I take it and get a new one and installed it. Well now my alternator is smoking and actually had a mini flame burning in the alternator. Has anyone ever seen that? I guess when I drove it from my daughter's sitter to the house (running on the alternator only) it burned up. I called to see how much a new alternator ran, and it was 200+ dollars and not in stock anywhere? Thanks
