Ok guys I want a SC V1 or V2 don't care since my speed shop RPM.. swears they know the issue with the V2s and it is away around it by simply doing something with the mounting of the blower.

Anyway I am looking to get the kit complete for 2k or under anybody know someone interested in selling?

For that matter anybody think RPM is full of it? They have been good so far minus pricing they screw me there but stand by everything they do...

Thanks

the issue is the pulley being plastic. (idler).. if you wanna avoid v2 problems, get a metallic one custom made.

as for a SC kit for under 2g... i doubt it.

I dont frequent ebay, so im not sure. But.. im not so sure you'd get all the parts. I bought a used one, it was missing parts. Everyone i know who bought a used one (like 3 or 4) were missing parts.

Which RPM

Which RPM shop is this? The one in NYC? Or is it in Connecticut somewhere.

Used kits will always give you headaches in terms of missing parts... most common missing part... cam sensor retainer... 40 dollar value from Stillen, then you have to deal with them for buying parts for a USED SC that you are not the original owner of. I went the used route. If I had to do it again I am not so sure I would have.

Thanks,
Del

My thoughts...

I wouldn't part with my V1 kit (complete) for less than $2500...maybe someone else would.

I don't know of any V2 kits that were installed w/o problems (different kinds) including one done by Stillen themselves. Have the bugs been worked out yet? I don't know. I would ask this shop some more V2 questions:

1. How do they know about the problem?
2. Which problems are they aware of? (odd revving problem when car is floored - 4th gen, lack of room for kit in an auto 5th gen, idle pulley failure, etc.)
2. Have they installed this kit before?
3. Will they guarantee that they can avoid this problem?
4. Will they warrantee the install or work with you if problems develop?
5. How long will they need the car? (should be about 2days)
6. Will/How are you to be compensated if the install takes longer?
7. If the kit is incompatible with your car, will they refund your money? Store credit?

If they don't have good answers to these question and say stuff like 'don't worry, we'll take care of it' alarms should go off inside your head.
