I'm considering buying an exhaust system for my Max and notice a cat-back system from Pacesetter is $140. I know it is not stainless steel or perfect quality but what about performance and sound?

I've heard alot of bad things about the Pacesetter. Mainly issues with quality and fitment. You'll probably get a better quality exhaust if you went to a custom muffler shop. They can probably make you one better than the pacesetter. Or go with Greddy or Apexi. They cost more, but you get what you paid for.

PaceSetter is a good cheap temp replacement.

I had one on my DSM till i was able to get a better exhaust. It lasted less then a year before it begun to rust and holes started to show. It sounded nice for the first 3-4 months, then after it went down hill and sounded like a can of bees. THe fiberglass in teh muffler just ate away.
