Caliper Painting!?!
Alright, well i just purchased some RubyRed High temp spray paint for my calipers. I need some advice from the folks out there. So i will take the wheel off, and then cover up the brake pad w/newspaper, and basically only leave the caliper showing? Or should i hand paint it with a smalll paint-brush?
For other people who have done it out there, lemme know. Thanx
Any other methods/directions would be of great help
My biggest concern is getting the paint on the brake pad...and then my brakes not working properly!?!
Thanx

MaximaMan: What type of rims are those? I think I have the same ones. When I bought mine, I didn't ask for the brand name. I still don't know what brand they are. I just know they are 16 spokes 18" rims. I wish I had a digital camera. That's how my rims look like.
I painted mine a few years ago...Usd the high temp bright
red...Bought the spraycan buy spayed the paint into a
coffee can lid..then used a little 1/4" wide hobby paint
brush and did it buy hand...Didn't paint the brake pad faces
...spend the time by hand...I applied like 3 thick coats.
Buy a can of brake cleaner and clean them good first !!
Dries in like 2-3 mins....
Good luck

honestly you need to clean it very well as far as the caliper goes. i did the spary rount before on another car it sucked the best thing is the brush on paint with 2 to three coats and clear coating it. it lasted for like a year and half it was still shining.
