What if you were to drill out a hole in the back of the corner lights and add a bright clear bulb in the housing to come on when you cut your lights on (to match the others), but when you use your blinker it switches to the regular orange light. Just wondering if anyone has done this and if so do you have a pic?

That sounds like an awesome idea. You'd have to make sure the hole you could could stay waterproof. Let me know how it goes, and make sure to post pics!

There's another idea...

I used a dual-wattage socket for the front lense so the lower-wattage comes on with the park lights and blinks at the higher-wattage when I signal. You can find dual-wattage sockets (1157 sockets) at your local Trak Auto or Autozone. To make it fit though, you have to file down one or two of the tabs. Check out my profile pics to see how they look at night.

Sounds like a pretty good idea. Saw your profile pics. Can you get a bit more descriptive on how you did the deed? Will it work with the rewired corners, ie. alternating blinking between the front corner and side corner? Tell us/show us more!

Cheers

Its pretty simple if you already have the alteranting blinker/side light mod. This is if you already have that done. Just cut out the factory 1156 socket, replace it with the 1157 socket (dual-wattage, 3 wires) wire the gound to the turn signal - wire, the low-wattage wire to the side light + wire, and the high-wattage wire to the turn signal + wire. Make sure to cut off or file down one or two of the tabs to make it fit in the lense. Sorry, just keepin ot short and simple, to get a full description, I remember seeing someone doing a write-up, do a search, it should come up.

Brighter Corners

Ok Here is the STOCK Bulb. It has Two Nips on it.

As you can see here...

What you have to do is remove the one closest to the actual bulb.

See what I mean..!

When you put it back in the outlet place it in backwards. If NOT you will have NO change in brightness. Below is the Final Product.

Your DONE..!

Doh, I forgot all about the backwards 1157 method, that works just as good. I just remembered the 1156 method because those are the bulbs i"m using now, just cut off any tab on that one and put it in, it should make contact also.
