Anyone tried this thing yet? It it really worth the extra ~$100-$185 on top of the $185 intake? I've emailed the guys there just now, but I figure it'll take a while for them to reply. ****, at $370 I might as well get a PopCharger and a Y-pipe! But the video they have sounds pretty badass, even if it's just an IS and really bad encoding.

Supposing that the hose is long enough, shouldn't it fit? But then again the battery is right there... Any ideas?

BTW, the link is http://www.weapon-r.com/rak.shtml

relocate battery to trunk if fit is an issue.

its a good idea that we could do really cheap, we already have the ram air scoop right? well when you put the new intake in that thing becomes purposeless, buy the adapter and run a hose/tube from the end of the old black piece and attach it to the filter, i bet it is that easy, would save a bit of $$$ too

even the adapter may not be neccesary, i think its just a piece of plastic that is between the hose and the filter, more or less a connector, if you glued the tubing on to the filter, the total mod price would be like $5-10, how ever much the tubing you use costs, now that would be a good idea, you could probably even make it work with a normal filter if you can get the tube to stay on the end of the filter

They're selling dryer hose, like the hose for you clothes dryer. Personally it looks ghetto. But if you like it, do it. Just save some money and go get some dryer hose from home depot(the real import tuning shop) and rig one up to work with your POP charger, OSCAI, or stock set-up. Good Luck!

Dont get the Ram Air Kit. I have the Dragon Intake and I really like it. I had the Stilled High Flow Intake before it and I like the Dragon Intake Much better. I just dont think the ram air kit is worth the money. Take Care

Any ram air kit with dryer hose is way past ghetto...

Ram air works because air blowing into the opening of the ram air tubing increases the pressure in the tubing which increase the amount of air flowing towards the intake manifold. If you have a piece of flex duct installed somewhere in that ram air tubing, all that will happen is the flex duct will expand about its radius (its not rigid). I think rigid piping in an intake setup is a must (reference the Place Racing CAI setup)

I still have the factory intake on my 95 but recently I removed the resonator. The power is "seems" to have increased. Most notably after around 3k rpm. It sounds a littly throatier too. Has anyone done this and compared it to a pop charger, velocity stack, etc? I have a 5 speed and have heard that I would benefit more from a pop or velocity versus a CAI. Any opinions? Thanks.
