Just installed and took for a test drive. That's the best $160 I have spent on the car. It makes a huge difference. If you don't have it, get it! Sprint Springs will be here Monday. Can't wait>

For real?

I did my FSTB long after my RSB had become somewhat ho-hum. When I first installed the RSB though, I thought it was god's gift to turning. The FSTB didn't seem to add a whole lot to it, but I have ****ty OEM tires, which tend to squeal a lot when I do a 30km/h turn at 120. It firmed up the turn a lot but I think the RSB was more noticeable. Although it could be just cause I installed the FSTB after I got used to the RSB.

You installed the RSB after you got used to the FSTB .. Which was more noticeable for you?

Does anyone know who else is selling the Addco RSB for cheap? www.southwestautoworks.com, which had them for $130 shipped is no longer carrying Addco... Thanks.

Last I checked, shox.com had them for something like $120 + shipping.

Just a quick reminder:

The wholesale price that Addco charges resellers for RSB is $55.
Addco sent me an invoice by accident, and there it was. So before you feel guilty about "My friend got it for $110" trick on shox.com, please remember that they are still making 100% profit. And they make money on shipping too.
Enjoy.

Damn, they are seriously bending us over. How can someone become a Addco reseller? I know someone that owns a NAPA store. If he can get it, I'll sell it to you for that.

Cool!

I'm glad you guys feel it makes such a big difference. I ordered mine last week so it's on the way. Was the install hard? Just so you guys know, I got mine for $120 at shox.com. However, I live in CA so I had tax.

Yeah, well I first got H&R Springs, was sorta disappointed in them, I guess I got it mainly for the lowered look. Handling wasn't that much improved. The FSTB was awesome though! I noticed that sucker right away and turning made a big difference. I just added the Addco RSB last weekend and I think that was almost as noticeable as the FSTB, but not quite. The RSB + FTSB makes for REALLY REALLY nice turns, so nice that the passengers notice it. It's cool how the back end doesn't twist at all during cornering. Though it was quite a pain to install for my friend and I.

I'm wondering what people think Tokicos would add to my setup of H&R springs, FSTB, and RSB, if they would make the handling better or smoother or what.

If you are still on your stock shocks and struts, then that is why you're a little disappointed with the springs. They are too soft and aren't designed to operate at the lowered height.

I would strongly suggest the Koni yellows (adjustable). You can play around with them so it can suit your driving style. I heard full stiff is like 125% over stock. I loved them for autocrossing. Tokico makes them adjustable too but if they still make them this way, they are adjusted with a skinny screw driver on the top. The Koni ones are adjusted on the top but with a ****, which was very easy.

So where is the cheapest place to get the RSB now?

I'd still say shox.com. Try to get it for $110/$120. Hopefully you don't live in CA though as you will be charged sales tax.

There is the exclusive black one through custommaxima/catman but at $145 I passed.

Make sure you specify if you want the urithane ('U' suffix) or competition ('S' suffix).

P.s. Why does everyone call it a RSB (rear sway bar) when it is a rear ANTI-sway bar?! (sorry just a little pet peeve of mine).

I have always heard it as anit-sway or roll bar. I refer to it as rear sway bar because that is what most people refer to it here.

I currently have Sprint Springs/Tokiko Struts/Addco RSB/Stillen Front Strut Bar. I installed most of it within the same week so I'm not sure what gave the best results. I did put the RSB on last and it was HUGE! Install was not very hard andit is definately worth the money!

Man, it must be nice to have the money. I'm going from cheapest parts and then going up.

One question

I was under the impression that since the ADDCO RSB is not adjustable (as the Stillen is) if I were to get one, would I lose my rear beam as a jack point?

I've wondered this myself and never got an answer here. Well, when I did my rear brakes, I very carefully jacked the "U" shaped metal bar, rear edge, protecting the rear axle. It appeared to be very strong and made no sign of being stressed. It is the same U-shape bar that the Addco attaches to. You might want to try that.

Yeah, I think I know what you are talking about. I used those when I was lowering my car. It's just really easy to jack up the rear of the car by the rear beam when I rotate tires, etc.

Why would you not have bought one from Speedy-T for under $120 SHIPPED (see Group Deals)? He spent a lot of time and effort to set this up for us.

I guess I should visit this site more often! I had seen them for as much as $169, so thought I was getting a killer deal. Where is the Group Deals page?

Yes, it is $118.64 shipped. I will not be doing this much longer so think about it fast. This is the one with the urethane bushings.

Check out the Group Deals Forum under the Classified section.

Re: For real?

I installed my FSTB 1st, then the RSB later. I did notice the effect of the FSTB, but I noticed the RSB effect MORE My observations seem to co-incide with yours. The RSB has a more dramatic affect.

i've been told that the addco RSB makes noise (squeaks) when cornering, and that its not adjustable (like the one form steallin)
is that true?
i bought an addco rsb & returned it. then bought the rsb from stillen for almost twice the cost of the addco. ( just wondering how bad i got ripped off )

If it squeaks, it is the urethane bushing rubbing on the bar. All you have to do is apply some grease to the bushings and it should go away.
