Airbag Suspension.. It uses an air compressor to lower your car almost or TO the ground and it can lift your car 2 inches from stock ride height.. you can't drive with the drop as far as i know.. but it's really cool.

the air bag suspension system sits inside the springs themselves.. but you have to have coilovers for it to work i think.. i dont know all the details.. i think they let you go a little lower than the springs you have, don't know..
im off to check that video..

We have a member of the board who has a mpeg of his bags in action. I think his name is ALPESH but here is his crew's site just look under the "Members" section and you'll see his name and 97 Nissan Maxima next to it. Check it out. It's pretty tight.

Greg at custommaxima.com has them too. That's probably the lowest you can go but they are expensive!!!
As for me, I have a photoshopped pic of my Intrax springs. Hehe!
(Thought I'd get an idea of how my max would look with airbags)

There is an air compressor, that must be kept above 100psi but not to exceed 250psi. It is very loud and vibrates the entire car when you are filling it up. When you drive it, it is the most nausiating (sp?) ride you will ever have. It is like being in the ocean, and just going up and down over waves. It will seriously make you want to throw up unless you are very used to it.
Driving...You can drive with the car dropped. You have to be careful how low you drive with it, because it is only air holding the car up, and if you go over a hard bump your car will hit the top of your tires. My friend drives his benz with about a 3.75-4 inch drop. He can drop it to where you can't even fit one of your fingers between the street and his side skirts. He also has 19's on there that tuck when you slam it.
When you release the air from the bags (making the car drop) it makes a super loud noise, which is the air escaping. It attracts A LOT of attention, and will make people jump if they are standing in front of the car (very cool!). Personally, I would never put them on my car, as the ride is EXTREMELY bouncy, and it makes the overall control (i.e. cornering) very difficult. My advice would be to go with a good set of eibachs, or intrax if you want a nice drop. If you are just interested in the attention, bags are DEFINETLY the way to go. You'll be the main f*cking attraction at your local car meets, and the chica's think it's the coolest thing.
hmm...
so who wants to see my stock gap?
I am so confused, I'd really like to drop my car eventually but I'm still afraid of bottoming out and catching **** under my car, especially in the North East winters...
Besides i want to drop it no lower then 1.3 or so inches and i want stock ride quality... H&Rs would fit best, If only Eibachs weren't as stiff...

99 SE Limited with H&R springs and stock struts. Teh ride is pretty close to stock and quiet. Handling is awsome! High speed driving gives you much more road feel - overall a very nice setup.
