I am looking into replacing the Bose head unit that came with my '95 GLE. I want to install a JVC head unit with MP3 decoding.

I have read in a few places that I need to get some sort of adapter in order for the new head unit to work properly with the self-amplified Bose speakers.

Who better to go to for advice than all of you here at maxima.org?

What exactly do I need to do in order to rid myself of the Bose stereo and put in a nice, new JVC head unit? Do I also need to visit a dealer to get a tray to occupy some of the space taken up by the Bose unit?

Thanks,

Brian
