smilar brake problems btwn 4th and 5th gen?
I was reading on the 5th Generation board earlier and I saw this fairly long post where a few 5th generation owners had a problem with their brake rotors in which they warped quite easily. A few of them had the same problem that I currently have: When braking in fairly low speeds (under 50mph), there would be no steering wheel vibration, but in higher speeds, there would be steering wheel vibrations--I was just wondering if anyone noticed this in their 4th generation Max...
thanks,
Brian

Re: Same here
have you done anything--ie change the rotors or have them shaved? anything? or does it still happen?

I get a slight vibration when I brake lightly at slow speed (like from 30-40 MPH). If I step on the brake harder, the vibration goes away. It never really bothered me, since I don't think it affects safety. In an emergency stop I'd floor the pedal anyways, and I never get a vibration when I do that.
BTW, I had my brakes inspected by my mechanic recently and he did not see any signs of rotor warpage. He even took apart the front calipers and reinstalled the pads and the vibration is still there. It's very minor and doesn't concern me that much.
