I have 1996 GXE for about a month now and was wondering where I could obtain factory fog lights for the front bumper. I was also told that I could probably buy the bumper with the lights already in it.

Does yours have Conv. Package? Which included the OEM security system, and powered driver's seat ....then it has fog light pre-wired..... If this is the case, you can go to your local dealers to buy the Fog light kit, you have to mention that it is for GXE, or GLE, other wise they'll sell you the SE's kit..... You can use the Search feature to find out more how to do your self, and where to get the kit if you don't want to pay a whole lot at your local dealers. Hope this could help.

96 GXE and GLE do not have factory fog lights installed. So no matter you tell them GXE or not, you're getting SE fog lights which fit in any trim level, right?

 

Basically, yes. But I have heard that the brackets for the SE trim is not the same as other. Hope this clear up a little more.

 

this can be achieved by checking to see if there are the two connectors taped to the bumper lamp's harness. If you have power seat, power mirrors and intermittent wipers, you can be pretty sure that you are pre-wired for foglamps...but check visually for yourself before you purchase the kit.

The kit will be sold to you for about $180 and will include, one turn signal stalk with integral switch, one relay, two foglamps, two sheetmetal brackets and ten bolts. Instructions are included, and all you will have to provide are tools, a little elbow grease and a 15amp fuse.
