CD Players??? Need your opinion please.
I am thinking of getting a new cd player and am undecided of which one to get. I was looking at the alpine cda-7863 or the sony xplod cdx-m670 with the two display screens. I have never really liked the sony decks but this looks pretty cool. Now the alpine looks even better. Just want to get an opinion from you guys on those or some others that run around the same price range of around 350-400 bucks. Also I just got a kenwood kgc-6042a equalizer to add to my stereo, so maybe that will affect on what deck to get.
Thanks

I wouldn't buy anythiing but Alpine
I worked at at very reputable car stereo shop and we sold Eclipse, Sony, Alpine, Blaupunkt, as well as working on everything else from Kenwood to Clarion to Pioneer to Nakamichi and so on. I never once had to replace an Alpine unit for a echanical failure. Some people would bring in these old Alpine units that they said they founds in their closet, that had been sitting up for years. We'd plug 'em in and they would go, no sh*t. On the other hand, unless you are buying Sony Mobile ES products, I would not recommend buying them, especially anything that says Xplod on it. That's just my experience, take it for what it's worth. By the Way, I own an Alpine CDA-7949, and have for about three years now, and it still sounds great and has not given me any problems. Good luck with whatever you buy.

Thanx for your reply. I think I will definitely go with the alpine for sure. So what do you think of the kenwood eq?
