How do you remove the needles from the cluster?

I have the cluster out and in front of me. Removed the clear plastic and the black backing behind that, I am just stuck on removing the needles so I can remove the backing.

If anyone has AIM, IM on RedLX92, or reply. A how to would be appreciated.

DON't REMOVE THE NEEDLES!!!!! you don't need to remove the OEM dials either....just slide your indiglo dials on top of the OEM ones (first remove all the screws) and secure with double sided tape. I've had no problems with my indiglos so far

I just tried it, and they won't fit. Apparently 98-99 have a different type. The stop needle that keeps the tach needle from goin all the way down, doesn't line up.

You need to bend the gauge to get it over the needle, make like a taco shell.

One thing that you should remember is to leave enough clearance for the needle to move. you should be able to see a space in between. My max is 96...

My Maxima is a 98. What I have a problem with is not the indicator needle, but the needle that sticks outward, and prevent, the tach/speedo needle from goin all the way down. The alignment is off. When I try to bend it, and get it in, the alignment is off, and it looks funky.

Do they make different ones for 1998-1999? I read on MaximaDriver.com that there is slight difference.

Someone let me know if they wanna buy these for the price of what the new ones run. I bought em on eBay, and you could buy the ones for my year and you could have mine.

Nope

No, I didn't take off my needles. I slipped the tach gauge on and it didn't fit right, so I took it off.

Where can I find a place that sells the right gauges?

I must not have the right one then. I have one that plainly says,
EL

Luminescent Gauge Kit

Thats all it says, pretty cheap looking packaging too.
Does anyone have a link to where I can buy the initial K ones?

I bought my from Initial K from ebay. The packing of mine looked cheap too. The instructions was a blurry photocopy....check if the bottom of the gauges have a small "Initial K" print

Well thats all mine says.

You probably have a 95-97 which is why yours would fit well. From what I read the 98 and 99's are different by a little.
