Ok , i was driving some girl home from a party down a dark street. up comes this big *** stick that is pointing right at my car like a spear , and this is a one way street with cars parked on both sides , so i have no where to swerve or anything. and i go over the stick and hear a terrible noise under the car. but its just the stick breaking , right? WRONG! I go out the next morning , to find out that the plastic that is under my car to keep it streamline or whatever (the ones attatched to the front bumper with little body clips) and one of them is hanging down under the car... one of the holes in the bumper that the clip goes through is torn , so there is no way to put a clip in there... what should i do to re-attatch it ? its kinda just hanging there now , its not dragging on the ground or anything , but i think if i hit something again it will come right off, and cause more dammage. Should i try and drill a new hole in the bottom of the bumper to put a clip through, or superglue it or what ??

Plastic?

I think that piece is plastic. Find out from the dealer how much for the part. Shouldn't be too expensive.

yeah its plastic, but the part where it clips into on the bumper is also plastic, and the hole in the bumper ripped... not the black plastic under the car. the bumper...

Re: Re: Plastic?

I thought it was only that large plastic piece that protects that was ripped. I'll take a look under my car and see exactly where you're talking about.

Re: Re: Plastic?

Yup, I'd drill it and secure it that way. No one can see under there anyway.

Try tucking it over the lip down there. While nice to have, that part is not NECESSARY.

I respectfully disagree. Those splash guards are more than streamlining. They prevent water from getting to places where it could do harm, such as the accessory drive belts and tensioner, alternator, Oxygen Sensor harnesses, etc.

Make repairs in any way you can. Duct tape, an adhesive cement, pop rivets, sheet metal screws. Whatever works, that's the thing to use.

Zip Ties

I think i might use zipties/wire ties, because as you guys said , no one can see under there anyway ,and after i get a front lip , it will be nearly imposible anyway...
