Hey guys, I just got a 98 GXE couple of days ago, so I'm looking around inside and I don't like the floormats I got with the car. The interior is tan, so they may have been switched since they are easy to get dirty, but the floormats really look too small and totally out of place, especially the front ones. Do the stock floormats have a little rubber part for the drivers floormat to put your heel on? Also, do the stock floormats have "Maxima" stiching? (asking because I had this in my 3rd gen).

Another annoyance I just discovered..... the rear doors don't have door lights? WTF? lol

Welcome to the cost cutting generation .
The oem Nissan mat's do not have a rubber thingy for your heel to go on. They do however have the MAXIMA stiched into them. If I were you and I wanted some new flormats I whould get some 99 SE-Limeted mats from Courtesy Nissan. BTW congrats on the new machine!

How are those SE-Limited mats different from the regular?

2k Floormats

The oem will have maxima stiched into them.
I've got a set of 2k mats in my 96. It's worth at least an extra 3hp.
hehehe

They fit fine, and match the carpet pretty well too.

thanks guys...

I'm thinking of making custom floormats for the car, or buying some for another car and trimming the edges to fit, I hate the beige floor, it will get dirty too damn fast so I want some black floormats which will cover the whole floor. I'll get black leather eventually too.....

Hey JeepRage, are you sure that is the correct URL? I'm having problems accessing that page.

Hey atleast you got floormats. When I got my car, I looked in the trunk and saw a floormat with the Maxima stiched on it so I thought they would all be there, well to make a long story short they werent. ONly the passenger one was there. I was pretty ****ed but just ended up getting custom ones. My driver one says NISSAN the passenger says MAXIMA and the Hamburger Logo is on the top of them. Take Care
