is nissan OEM air filter any good?

The Nissan OEM unit is pretty good. If you want higher performance (but not much) you can get a cone intake. I would go for the JWT Pop Charger. The cone is larger than the generic ones, it comes with a velocity stack (curved metal attachment to the MAF), and most importantly, a nice metal bracket to hold the whole thing in place (generics don't have that).
Intake adds 3-4hp (maybe). But if you are happy with stock noise levels (which is very quiet), the Nissan filter is fine.

how much hp and noise does k and n (filter/charger?) adds?
the guy @ canadian tire said $80cdn for K&N charger
I want something that sounds close to stock because I won't be driving the maxima after this november and I'll be getting my own new car and my dad will be using this car to carry his clients around, and he won't like the noises. Same with my mom, she'll probably use it as a shopping car or something. But during those months I do want something that adds power and not much noises.
