what he means is that most people change all that out anyway. you put on lowering springs and aftermarket shocks. everyone gets rims. you can get indiglo gauges and put in the urethane bushings. for like 2K you can do all that and it costs like 3k more for an SE at least. would i give up mine for a GXE, hell no. do some people, yes.
Well, I have a GXE and a SE. The price difference is really a batch of bull**** unless you're buying brand new. When you get used you aren't paying $3k more for a used SE so I don't see why people are defending this stance.

You fix up an SE or a GXE or a GLE. Any way you cut it, you get a sweet Maxima. I just happen to like the SE trim better and I didn't have to replace all my suspension parts to get a nice stiff ride.

maybe its bull**** to only you..

when i bought my GXE last year.. i bought it for 10k .. you could not get an SE below 14k... now.. why don't you find a dealership that has a 97 GXE and find a dealership that has a 97 SE for the same price.. and i will shut my mouth

I don't know why people have it set in their minds that GXE owners want to own SE's. I got the C&C and all I really cared about was the engine. I didn't want the sunroof, leather nor the wing. I like the chrome door handles and the chrome look grille. There were plenty of SE's in the lot and I just glanced at one briefly. I got what I wanted.

OT:
Redmax007's Max needs Dexatrim.

the only reason i wanted an SE was to get rid of the speed limiter.. and i did that anyway by getting a faster ... lighter car..

Whatever. You like your GXE and are on some sort of crusade over it. I could care less. People get what they want. Let them be happy with thier choice.

Prices vary state-by-state, dealer-by-dealer and privately. A diligent person who knows what they want will get a good deal and they can be happy with it, be it a SE, GXE or GLE. Personal preference.

BTW, I hate white cars. So there!

are you a boxer? because you seem to dance around my point..

again i will post it for you..

find me a 97 GXE and a 97 SE for the same price at the same dealership..

you can hate white cars all you want.. they don't call SuperBlack dustmagnet for nothing.. i know you like those swirl marks you get after waxing and drying..

ow wait.. my car is white.. i don't have to dry it.. no spots.. and the wax leaves no swirls.. amazing ain't it..
