Folks,

I had an accident yesterday and they had to cut me out of the car (drivers side). I spun and T-boned myself to an unoccupied broken down car in the emergency lane. They had to cut off the front and rear doors and the "B-Bar". My worry is the car is not structurally sound. What do you guys think? I hope to post pics very soon.

Who cares what his status on the board is? The most important thing is that he is ok. Keep us posted on the accident and how you are doing. Take Care

doing OK

I'm doing ok. Spent most of the morning in the hospital getting checked out. I was coming onto the interstate from the access road and everything was cool. As I merged with traffic, the rear end slid to the left, I tutned the wheel left to turn into the spin and recover. Made and decided to stay in the original lane, when I was moving to my right, the rear end just broke loose and spun to the left again. I spun twice and slammed into the broken down car. flipped and took out a few more traffic signs. I broke out of the spin only to slide driver side first into the car. Feeling ok though.

Was it raining? Otherwise it is rather diffcult to end up accidentally oversteering in our car.

Yeah, it had been raining for about an hour when the accident happened. It was raining pretty hard when I lost it. I went to look at my car this afternoon. Ugly. The tread in the rear tires was pretty low, almost slick. I'm sure it didn't help any.

If they cut the b-pillar the car is gone. No way you'll get it back. Be thankful you're okay, and use the insurance to buy something nice.
